Lyme's New First Responder

This car was parked behind the Fire House. So I decided to take a picture of the car with Y-22. Then I photo-shopped in "Lyme" on the hood of the car.

Live Burn

Members of the Lyme Fire Company are participating in a live burn in Salem.

This is a traing, NOT the real thing.

The Lyme Fire Company is about to receive there new rescue truck. The new Y-17 is made by SVI Trucks of Loveland Colorado. Below are pictures from when the truck committee went to Colorado to inspect and road test the new rescue:

East Haddam Structure Fire 1/1

Lyme's Engine/Tanker Y-22 and Tanker Y-14 were called to East Haddam Tuesday Night, New Years Day, for a structure fire off 151. Surrounding towns were called in to help with fighting the fire. Lyme's Y-22 was charged with pumping water through a 5 inch hose to a ladder truck on scene. Lyme's Y-14 was apart of a tanker shuttle the supplied water to hand lines. Y-14 was one of over 10 tankers.


It took a loader to get to the fire.

3 days latter this pond is still low. When Y-22 arrived on scene the pond was filled to the edge of the grass. It has since filled back in.
